The "p" and the "x" are unclear; I think the "p" looks a lot more like an "o." If you could get closer on just one of the intersections for the "x" I think it would work better.

Yes, I also think you should zoom in more with the "x" but still keep the repetition- it's nice.

I understood both the first two pictures as "o."

I was confused by the third photo, and was unsure whether it was meant to be an "x" or a "v."

I agree that closer cropping of the "x" may further clarify that.

As far as the first photo being a "p," perhaps have two like objects instead of two foreign ones - yes, they're both drafting instruments, but it's still a little confusing.

I agree with the other comments in that your "X" and "P" are a little unclear. For your "X", if you cropped in closer on your drafting mat or add emphasis some other way that would help.

Nice pictures, but I agree that some of them do appear to be a little unclear. They work though if you were going for a more subtle approach.

The "X" could also be made with the diagonal lines on the cutting board. Then you wouldn't have to get in so tight.

i like the second read with the P...perhaps if the black marker is missing ?

the O could have a small crop to pull it slightly off center...very subtle please...i think just a tiny bit off center would create nice tension.

the x...maybe selective focus? again i sort of like the subtlety...

I like the 'P'. I looked at it for a second but got it right away. You should try more shots of random people's little work areas...

The P doesn't show up immediately. I think this is because the viewer doesn't instinctively group the tape with the pen. If you could do that by laying one pen on top of the tape, or having a single blue pen in the shot, or something like that, the P would be more evident.

O looks great. The selective focus adds a lot of depth to the picture.

I agree that closing in on the Xs would help, and either make the utility knife in the top right a larger part of the composition or leave it out entirely.

These are ok but I, but you could spend more time thinking about the perspective of your objects or tone to try and meke them more interesting, try not to think of it as images of the alphabet but composition of each letter... and the x's are a little weak

I think that the marker alongside the tape could be removed to make the P shape much more apparent. The O picture is very nice, but I find all the repitition in the X picture to be distracting.

you might try flipping the p horizontally, it might be more clear then. have you tried doing these in black and white? i find some of the colors a bit distracting.

Like they've said, crop in on the X, but I think the other two work well.

i really like the repitition in the X. I don't think it's uclear... and it'll make sense once we see these in a full series, we'll be expecting X to come after W and will be able to pick up on it easier.

i like how you kept the green grid in the image for P. it may be cool to have some object from your A pic be apparent in your B pic, and keep doin that from letter to letter for transition of the series. just an idea
