I really like the concept behind these...especially the "B." I think the X is too dead center in the frame, although the lighting is nice.

The "x" being in the center doesn't bother me.

I really enjoy these, because it's absolutely clear what they are meant to represent, and yet, they are not boring.

The X doesn't bother me because the composition isn't symmetrical, since the controller extends outside the frame.

Interesting subject matter. Good quality. But hey, I like anything that involves an old school Nintendo controller.

I like the concept but I think the B could be made more interesting by placing the cd's on top of a cd player or somewhere else that they would normally be found just laying around the house.

there is a nice simplicity to these that makes them work...it would be easy for them to become boring but rght now it is still refreshing...not overly dramatized...

be careful with changing aspect ratios though...

and i may reconsider the X if time permits...it is a little static..X is at the center...the rest is pretty gray...still a nice photo but perhaps a little crop?

Push and pull these photographs together. It seems the only thing holding them is the concept. Which I don't think is necessarily a 'problem', but I think a series is much more successful, i.e. visually interesting, when there's more of a visual relationship between the photos.

Nice and simple. The only thing I'd change is moving the chain all the way over to the right in the U. That way the letter will be more recognizable and there won't be that metal chunk sitting on top of letterform.

they are reconizeable but I think there a little boring, You shoud try different perspectives or distances, try getting in tight or something make the images more interesting

While the X being dead center doesn't irrate me too much, I do think it could be much more dramatic with a different placement. I also think that the B would seem more in place if it was on top of a cd/dvd/computer instead of what looks like just the floor. Really love the U though!

i agree with allan that the x is too much in the center, but i really like your idea. the colors in the B are nice.

the B is my favorite.
the U doesn't seem to fit as much with the rest of the series, it's a lot less bright and not as vibrant as the other two, maybe bump that up a little.

I like the series, they work well because they are unique views of everyday objects.

i think that a series of close up imagery like these will look really nice. i like the way you used cropping to communicate the letterforms.
